“Para reduzir a dependência das importações, cabe ao Brasil aumentar a sua produção e para 2025 a expectativa da Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) é de, ao menos, repetir 2024, ou seja, produzir cerca de oito milhões de toneladas”, afirma o diretor do Canal Rural Sul, Giovani Ferreira.Ele lembra que outro fator a mexer com a dinâmica de compra e venda do cereal é a qualidade. “Precisamos do trigo tipo pão, ou seja, não adianta aumentar a produção sem trabalhar a genética, a biotecnologia, ou seja, a qualidade do trigo”.
